With last years title and a reputation to uphold South Saxons captained by Jamie Busbridge got off to a flying start with a 5-0 win. Securing five out of five wins on the first day of competition
After hosts Folkestone put on a hospitable evening of fun and merriment Saxons faced sobering narrow defeats in their first two games on the second day, but managed to pull off two convincing wins against a youthful Canterbury side and Folkestone.
This year’s format was a league and teams waited patiently to learn who had emerged winners. Saxons scored 46 goals, conceding 22, with a goal difference of 24, topping the Folkestone Easter 7’s league with 21 points, one point above their closest rivals and retaining their Easter 7’s Champions title.
